We are thrilled to have you with us for what promises to be an exceptional and unforgettable race. This guide covers all the essentials to ensure your day is as smooth as it is exhilarating.

Please use the Central Lane Gatehouse, 5 Central Lane, Riverglen R511 – Winnie Mandela Drive.

Arrival & Access Upon entering the estate, please follow the parking signage from the gatehouse to the open field on your right. Our security team will be on hand to guide you.

Gate Access Codes. On Friday, all entrants will receive a WhatsApp message with an access code. Spectators must use this code to enter Steyn City on race day.

Required Identification Please ensure you have a valid driver’s license with you. Access will strictly not be granted without this.

No late entries will be accepted on race day.

Bag Drop Zone

Bags are not permitted in the transition zone. Kindly deposit your kit bag at the secure Bag Drop Zone.

On the day, proceed to the bag drop area where your bag will be received and assigned on the event app before being placed securely in the designated bag drop zone.

Only tagged bags will be accepted.

Save this number in your phone before race day.

Timing Chip

Your timing chip is in your RACE PACK which will be allocated to you at registration

The timing chip goes on your LEFT ANKLE away from your bike drive train – it must be returned or you will be charged for it.

Body Marking

Body marking is conducted by Action Photo and takes place after exiting the registration area, just before you enter your designated starting batch.

Each swimmer’s ARMS will be marked with the NUMBER found in your RACE PACK.

While not mandatory, this marking is highly recommended as it aids in identifying you in photos for your race day photo pack.

Medals

The top 3 participants in each racing category receive gold, silver and bronze medals, and all other participants receive a beautifully designed finishers medal.

Prize-Giving

  • Prize-giving will be at 11:30.
  • Prize money is awarded to the top three athletes in a category where there are more than five contenders in that category.
  • Prize money is awarded to the top two athletes in a category where there are only three or four contenders in that category.
  • If there are less than three contenders in a category, then only first place will be awarded.
  • Only athletes who attend prize-giving or have made alternative arrangements will receive their prizes.

Race Results

Unofficial race results will be posted live online during the event. Final official results will be published on the Auto&General Xtri website within 24 hours.

Route Profiles

Standard

Swim 1200m, Bike 30,5km, Run 7,85km

Sprint

Swim 600m, Bike 12,2km, Run 3,8km

Super Sprint

Swim 300m, Bike 5.8km, Run 2km

Relay Team Instructions

There will be two separate Handover Zones for Bike and Run.

The Bike Handover Zone, is located before the entrance to the Transition Zone. Riders wait in this area for swimmers to transfer the timing chip from the swimmer’s left leg to the rider’s left leg. 

The Handover Zone for Run is located in the Transition Zone next to the Exit. Runners wait in this area for riders to hand over the timing chip (on left ankle) before leaving.

Swimmer

  • The swimmer needs to wear a timing chip on their left ankle.
  • Enter the Bike Handover Zone after the swim.
  • Hand over the timing chip to the cyclist in the Handover Zone.

Cyclist

  • The cyclist needs to wear a helmet with the strap fastened.
  • Fasten the bike number to the front of the handlebars.
  • Wait for the swimmer in the handover zone.
  • Don’t leave until the swimmer hands over the timing chip (left ankle).
  • Rack bike after cycle, before meeting the runner in the Run Handover Zone.
  • Hand over the timing chip to the runner (left ankle).

Runner

  • Wait for the cyclist in the Run Handover Zone.
  • After the bike is racked, receive the timing chip (left ankle)
  • Leave the Run Handover Zone with the timing chip on and the race number facing the front.
  • Cross the finish line with your race number visible.
  • Hand over the chip to the volunteer at the finish.
